Full disclosure: I’m an ambassador for Altangle and I got a chance to try out the Connect Air early during a photoshoot… so while this may be a slightly biased review, it is my honest feedback.
Living out of my van most of the year, space is at a premium, and Altangle products have always been a win for me. Before Connect Air, I used the original Connect on a computer monitor mount inside my van because I didn't have any external attachments to work with. This new setup allows me to work on my bike outside the van, which i prefer most of the time.
I’ve used SeaSucker products before and have always been impressed with their quality, so I was pumped about this collaboration.
Honestly, the Connect Air lives up to the hype - it's solid as a rock. The SeaSucker vacuum cups are so robust that even one or two would probably suffice, but with three, stability and strength are out of the question.
A quick note for mountain bikers: if you're doing more ‘in-depth’ maintenance, I would definitely consider the Pro Bar version. Without it, you’ll probably need to angle your bike slightly for bar clearance - not a huge deal, but the extra length the Pro Bar offers is pretty nice for accessibility, especially on the non-drive side of the bike. I also like having the ability to quickly rotate the bike while it’s in the stand, which the Pro Bar allows for.
All in all I 100% recommend the product for anyone in a van.
